Congress Venue
The Brussels EXPO is an exclusive and unique location in Belgium off ering a combination of tradition and innovation, of world-famous architecture and state-of-the-art technology. The history of Brussels EXPO already started in 1935 with the construction of exhibition halls for the Brussels Universal Exposition. During the second Brussels Universal Exposition in 1958 a new architectural masterpiece was added, the Atomium, which still remains as one of Brussels landmarks. Modern conference facilities with two main auditoriums accommodate large congresses such as the ISSM-ESSM Joint Congress 2008.
Brussels EXPO is located in Heysel, only 10 to 15 minutes by car from Zaventem International Airport. Travel time between the City Centre and Brussels EXPO is about 20 minutes (metro).
