Hotel reservations

Your reservation is binding on the hotel only if you guarantee it by providing your credit card details. Please pay your hotel costs directly upon departure. If you fail to honour a booking, the hotel is entitled to charge the agreed costs to your credit card account. Please also note the general terms and conditions for hotel bookings: Upon CPO HANSER SERVICE confirming a reservation, a binding contract for the provision of hotel accommodation arises between the ordering party (the guest) and the hotel arranged by CPO HANSER SERVICE. Both parties are under the obligation to perform their duties under the contract regardless of the duration of the contract. If the hotel fails to provide the reserved room, it is liable to the guest for damages. The guest undertakes to pay the agreed price even if he or she fails to make use of the reserved room. If the requested hotel has no vacancies, CPO HANSER SERVICE reserves the right to arrange accommodation in another hotel of the reserved hotel allotment. In the event of cancellation by 5 September 2008 a handling charge of EUR 50 will become due. After this date the hotel will charge additional cancellation fees. Please address all communication concerning any modifications and cancellations to your reservation to the congress office CPO HANSER SERIVCE.

Supporting program

Sightseeing tours and excursions must be paid in advance at the time of registration. Each tour requires a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not reached, the tour will be cancelled and the full advance payment will be refunded. In the event of cancellation by a participant, no refund will be made. Reservations for the supporting program will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for the excursions and the social events will be issued and are available in Brussels.

Liability

CPO¹⁾ is liable in keeping with diligence required of a prudent businessman, according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Regardless of course in law the liability of CPO shall be limited to damages which are caused with aforethought or by gross negligence. However, this shall not affect the liability of the congress organiser and of the persons or organisations responsible for providing means of transport or other services. Verbal agreement can only be considered as binding when confirmed by CPO in writing.

Place of performance, venue of jurisdiction

Brussels shall be the exclusive place of performance and Hamburg the venue of jurisdiction for all parties. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.
